No, Santa Thereza doesn't cease to exist if they lose Delegate status

It is with a heavy but relieved heart that we apologise for our hastily absence that caused much discussions.

I have a lot to learn to ensure we can rebuild the trust you all had in me.

I apologise for mistakenly mixing RP and Non-RP stuff. I seem to get it much better now! :) Time to get better at RP dispatches lol :)

English being my second tongue shouldn't be an excuse for my poor wording. It was sincerely all in-game and 'political'!

So much has happened since the serves went down. Please do not hesitate to message me for clarification, or just a chat. I wish you all the best!

It has been excruciatingly tough with the floodings in Rio Grande do Sul. Many friends and distant relatives have lost their livelihood and homes. Sending prayers to any players affected also. I am here for anyone that wants to talk!

Did not know about the flooding in Rio Grande do Sul. Found a news source from France that shows the flooding.

Checked and it seems parts of western Uruguay were also facing flooding. Last week parts of our island also faced flooding due low pressure moving in.
News on that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pwhs9PjYuM

Thats why living in a flood plain is bad. You need to line the river banks with concrete in order to try to stop the river from jumping its bank. Of course, then you have the problem at the mouth of the river of having a high tide during a river flood. It could cause the river to backup and jump its bank.

Sao-Paulo wrote:Yikes! Be careful with the fake news in regards to the floods! There's gonna be a LOT of it :(

It is not `fake news` but in-character news. It was not intended to offend anyone. Other players have used natural or political disasters and civil disorders to inspire their in-character news. So I followed that idea. No offences intended.

Peace and love

The thing is, what is being portrayed about the disaster in Rio Grande do Sul is not a fraction of the real severity of what is happening there. Almost the entire state was affected, and, in the capital, bodies are floating, entire cities were engulfed by the pluvial waters (like Eldorado do Sul, or Roca Sales). We will never have an accurate number of victims of this tragedy...but estimates suggest that is more than thousands.

A good example of what will happen with the state is when the hurricane Katrina, in 2005, destroyed New Orleans. The city never reached it's "former glory" in terms of population again. And we are talking of a state that was in debt a long time, and we are talking about a nation that is terrible in infrastructural projects and management. It will take years, if not decades, to recover, and we know that Rio Grande do Sul does not have that time. We can expect events like these to be more frequent in the coming decades. We can expect an exodus of people leaving.

I am praying for the people out there, and hoping for the best outcome. If you guys could help financially or with donations irl, please, do it, it was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, climatic tragedy of Brazil.

Also thank you!

I wasn't complaining about you both having yellow flags just that I kept getting confused! The new flag looks good!

I know! But the flag I was using was indeed temporary lel

I wasn't aware Uruguay was also affected. Thank you for sharing that.

I totally get you. I feel like it's a great way to also speak about the topic in-game in a regardful way, like you did. Peace and Love always!

And I agree with making it more detailed and registered.

I do remember that economic survey a couple years back. Likewise, I think it would be great to run it again!

Your new flag looks great!
